Draw Poker with Match Card

Introduction

I noticed Draw Poker with Match Card at the 7 Cedars casino near Sequim, Washington, on July 28, 2021. I hear it has also been seen the Resorts World racino in New York as far back as 2014.

The game appears to be based on a conventional Double Double Bonus video poker game, with a 1000-9-6 pay table. Assuming a fair game, this would have a return of 99.52%.

But wait, there's more! If the player makes a max bet, which is 20 quarters (or $5), the player draws to a royal flush and the card in the right position in the royal matches a designated Match Card, then the player wins a jackpot. The Match Card is always a 10 to ace, making the jackpot appear possible on every hand.

On July 28, 2021, the jackpot at the 7 Cedars was $7838.73. This would make the average royal pay 1028.39 for 1 and the return 99.63%.

However, I have it on good authority this is not a legitimate video poker game, but the outcome is predetermined and the cards are just a show. Given that, there is no way to analyze to quantify the odds.
