Super Tie

Introduction

Super Tie is a side bet found on tables labeled 21st Century Baccarat. The base game is the same as conventional baccarat. One of the side bets found on this game is the Super Tie. It pays at least 7 to 1 when the Player and Banker tie, with greater pays in some situations.

The side bet may be found at the Bicycle casino near Los Angeles.

Rules

1. The rules of the base game are the same as conventional baccarat, which I assume the reader is familiar with.
2. As usual in baccarat, eight decks of cards are used.
3. If the Player and Banker hands tie with a total of 6 to 9, both hands have three cards, and all six cards are the same color, then the Super Tie pays 100 to 1.
4. Otherwise, if the Player and Banker hands tie with a total of 6 to 9, both hands have three cards, and all six cards are a mix of red and black, then the Super Tie pays 20 or 25 to 1, depending on the pay table used.
5. Otherwise, all other ties pay 7 to 1.
6. Otherwise, if the Banker or Player wins, then the Super Tie loses.

Analysis

The following Pay Table 1 is the one in use at the Bicycle Casino near Los Angeles. It is noted as paying 25 to 1 for a mixed six-card tie of 6 to 9 points. The lower right cell shows a house edge of 5.97%.

The following table is for Pay Table 2, which is characterized as paying 20 for a six-card tie of 6 to 9 points with mixed colors. I do not know where it can be found. The lower right cell shows a house edge of 10.26%.
