BGAMING Software & 23 Online Casinos Reviewed

Introduction

In 2018 cryptocurrency specialist developer SoftSwiss re-branded their software development team to BGAMING. SoftSwiss remains as a software platform, which has become one of the main solutions for those that want to prioritize Bitcoin and other crypto-coins as their primary financial option. BGAMING is now the name behind the group’s casino games, which is decent in size and scope. Based out of Belarus, the company maintains what helped them become a good developer in the past

As of press time, there are more than 50 different titles available from BGAMING, and they’ve all been developed from their time as SoftSwiss. The games include video slots, blackjack, baccarat, Casino Hold’em, Caribbean Stud Poker, and more. BGAMING designs their games in HTML5 format in order to allow for mobile play, although desktop compatibility is also baked in. The software is audited and certified by both BMM Testlabs and iTechLabs.

While BGAMING was still known as SoftSwiss, our sister site LCB conducted an interview with the group’s CEO Ivan Montik. You can read that interview, which gives some insight into how the company does business here.

Baccarat

Baccarat

The baccarat game is pretty standard. Just the three main bets, Banker, Player, and Tie. The Tie bet pays the stingy 8 to 1 odds.

Blackjack

Blackjack Surrender

Blackjack Multi-Hand Pro

The following table shows the Blackjack games available in alphabetical order.

Casino Hold 'Em

Casino Hold 'Em

BGaming follows the usual Let it Ride 1,2,3,4,5,8,11,20,200,1000 pay table for a house edge of 3.51%. There is also a side bet that follows a 6,9,25,50,75,100,2000,20000 pay table, which I calculate to have a house edge of 6.14%.

Double Exposure

The BGaming web site indicates the existence of a Double Exposure game, but I can't get it to work nor see a help file. For that reason, we know nothing about it at this time.

Heads or Tails

Heads or Tails

This is a simple game based on the flip of a Bitcoin. Wins pay 1.98 for 1 for a house edge of 1%. For more details, and there isn't much more to say, please see my section on Heads or Tails and look for the SoftSwiss/BGaming rules.

Hi-Lo Switch

The BGaming web site indicates a game called Hi-Lo Switch, but the "play" button isn't working. I love to analyze a new game, so if anyone can give me a working link to it, please do.

Let it Ride

Minesweeper

Minesweeper

This is a simple game of picking among squares on a grid, one row at a time. There are different grids the player can choose from. The bottom line is a return percentage of about 98%.

For more information, please see my page on Minesweeper.

Caribbean Stud Poker

Caribbean Poker

BGaming calls their Caribbean Stud Poker game "Caribbean Poker." They follow the standard 1,2,3,4,5,7,20,50,100 pay table for a house edge of 5.22%.

Oasis Poker

Oasis Poker

In case you've never heard of Oasis Poker, it is like Caribbean Stud Poker, but adds the option to trade a card for the price of the Ante. The usual 1,2,3,4,5,7,20,50,100 pay table is followed. With optimal strategy, including switching, the house edge is 1.04%.

Three Card Poker

Trey Poker

BGaming calls their Three Card Poker game Trey Poker. The Ante Bonus follows the usual 1-4-5 pay table for a house edge of 3.37%. What is normally called the Pair-Plus bet they call the Pair Up bet, which follows a 1-3-6-30-40-100 pay table (including 100 for a mini royal) for a house edge of 5.10%.

Pontoon

The BGaming web site indicates they have a Pontoon game, but the play link doesn't work and they don't have a "details" button, as they do for most of their other games. So, at this time, we know nothing about it.

Rocket Dice

Rocket Dice

Rocket Dice is a unique game to BGaming, as far as I know. The player picks a total from 3 to 11 and then bets whether a roll of two dice will be higher or lower. The win is commensurate with the probability of winning. For all the rules and details, please see my page on Rocket Dice.

Roulette

European Roulette

French Roulette

American Roulette

BGaming has three roulette games. I seem to have lost my notes after taking these screenshots and now can't get the games to work. I would stay away from American roulette with two zeroes and a house edge of 5.26%. The European and French are probability the same with one zero and losing all on even money bets if the ball lands in it, for a house edge of 2.70%.

Scratch Dice

Scratch Dice

This is a simple scratch card game based on three dice. The bottom line is a house edge of 2.78%. Please see my Scratch Dice page for more information.

Sic Bo

Sic Bo

Sic Bo - Macau

Bgaming offers two sic bo games. The one on a blue table is called just "sic-bo," and the one on a red table is called "sic -bo Macau." I like that they spell Macau with a u (as opposed to an o), but don't like how they hyphenate sic bo. The odds on both of them are pretty stingy, but the Macau game is worse. In fact, I really have to take them to task for paying only 18 to 1 on the 5 and 16 bets, which equates to a house edge of 47.22%!

The following table shows the bets, pays, probability of winning, and house edge for the regular blue sic bo game.

BGaming Sic Bo (Blue Table)

The following table shows the bets, pays, probability of winning, and house edge for the blue Macau version of their sic bo game. It includes some bets you don't see very often, which I explain after the table.

BGaming Sic Bo Macau (Red Table)

Exact roll (Three singletons) 30 6 2.78% 13.89%
Group of 4 7 24 11.11% 11.11%

Let me explain the last three bets in the table above. I don't know what the proper term is for them, so had to make up my own.

  • Exact roll (pair) — This is like a hard hop bet in craps, except with three dice. The player picks a specific dice roll that consists of a pair. For example, 3-5-5. To win, the player would have to roll exactly a 3-5-5. A 3-3-5 would lose. The game offers all 30 possible permutations of the pair and singleton.
  • Exact roll (three singletons) — This is like an easy hop bet in craps, except with three dice. The player picks a specific dice roll that consists of three singletons. For example, 2-4-6. To win, the player would have to roll exactly a 2-4-6. The game offers all 20 possible combinations of three dice faces out of six.
  • Group of 4 — There are four such bets: 1-2-3-4, 2-3-4-5-, 2-3-5-6, and 3-4-5-6. To win the player must roll achieve three of the four numbers in the chosen group. For example, the only throws that would win with the 1-2-3-4 bet are 1-2-3, 1-2-4, 1-3-4, and 2-3-4. 1-1-2 or 1-1-1 would not win, because the player didn't achieve three different numbers within the group.

Desert Treasure

Fire Lightning

Lady's Lucky Clover

Platinum Lightning Deluxe

Princess Royal

Sloto Mongo

West Town

These slot machine images were taken from the BGaming web site. They have buttons to play them, but none worked at the time of this review. Two of the game indicated the theoretical returns, as follows:

  • Bob's Coffee Shop — 96.50%
  • Fire Lightning — 97.61%

Texas Hold 'Em Bonus

Texas Hold 'Em

SoftSwiss follows the liberal Las Vegas rules of Texas Hold 'Em Bonus, where the Ante pays on a straight or better, for a house edge of 2.04%.

Video Poker

Jacks or Better

As far as I know, the only video poker game by BGaming is 8-6 Jacks or Better, with a return of 98.39%, assuming optimal strategy.

The following table shows the Video Poker games available in alphabetical order.

BGAMING Video Poker Alphabetic Order

Game Power Poker Pay Table Return

Wild Texas

The BGaming web site lists a game called Wild Texas, but, again, the "play" button isn't working. Once I find more information about this game, I'll be sure to update this page.

Conclusion

Although the name has changed, everything has stayed the same with BGAMING. You’re still going to end up finding a good number of games, most of which have decent quality. If you were a fan of the games when they were a SOFTSWISS, you’re going to love what you see with this new name.
