Swiss Casinos Jack

I noticed a side bet in blackjack called the Swiss Casinos Jack at the Zurich casino in Switzerland. It wins on a player blackjack, and the amount of the win depends on the type of blackjack.

Wins are based on the player's initial two cards, as follow:

  • Jack is Black (blackjack including a black jack) pays 50 to 1.
  • All Red (blackjack consisting of two red cards) pays 25 to 1.
  • Mix* (All other blackjacks) pays 10 to 1.

*: I know, terrible name. I wouldn't call all other blackjacks a "mix," because some are all black, but nobody asked my advice about the terminology in their pay table. Maybe in the original German it isn't such a misnomer.

The following table shows my analysis for six decks. The lower right cell shows a house edge of 6.21%.
