Introduction

A Recap of all the Games from Week 11 of the 2019-2020 NFL Season

This week in the National Football League was interesting and it made big headlines not because of exciting gameplay, but because of an on the field fight between players of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns. As we approach the end of the 2019 – 2020 NFL regular season the playoff runs for many teams have fully begun. The next several weeks will have a major impact on the 2019 – 2020 NFL postseason.

This game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns were very uneventful until the last minute of this Thursday Night Football match up. Cleveland dominated the entire game, and were well on their way to an easy win when mayhem broke out on the field. With under one minute left on the game clock Mason Rudolph was tackled hard to the ground by Myles Garrett, and Rudolph proceeded to try and tear off the helmet of Garrett. Garrett then tore off Rudolph’s helmet.

As they both got up on their feet Garrett swung Rudolph’s helmet into Rudolph’s unprotected head causing a brawl to take place on the field in front of the National audience. Maurkice Pouncey began throwing punches and kicks into Garrett while Larry Ogunjobi knocked Rudolph to the ground from behind. Pouncey, Garrett, and Ogunjobi were all ejected from the game and have received suspensions resulting from these on the field altercations that took place last Thursday night.

Michael Gallup of the Dallas Cowboys led all receivers in this game with 9 reception for 148 yards. The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Detroit Lions fairly easily in this game with the final score of 35-27. The Cowboys have been very inconsistent this season. They will look great and win one week and then the next game look very vulnerable as they suffer a rough loss. They need to work on their consistency if they want to make a deep playoff run this NFL season.

Foles passed for 296 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Indianapolis Colts rushed for a season high total of 264 yards led by their running back Jonathan Williams who racked up 116 yards on his 13 carries. With this win the Colts improved to 6 – 4 and they will need to continue winning if they expect to make the highly competitive NFL playoff picture. Michael Thomas continued his dominance as the best wide receiver in the NFL as he had 114 yards and a touchdown reception. The Saints have a big game against the Carolina Panthers this week. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to struggle as it seems they are having another losing season that is going nowhere. It will be interesting to see how long they stick with the very inconsistent and erratic play from their quarterback Jameis Winston.

Le’Veon Bell rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown, and Ryan Griffin totaled 109 yards on his five catches one of which was for a Jets touchdown. The Washington Redskins are an awful football team. The Falcons season may be over as they are 3 – 7, but they have been playing very well as of late. One of Garoppolo’s favorite targets over this game was Deebo Samuel who finished the game with 134 yards on his 8 receptions. This week’s match up between the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers should be a dandy of a game.

The Oakland Raiders are playing much better than people have expected them to, and they are starting to be a team that is fun to watch and hopefully will continue to get better under the tutelage of their head coach, John Gruden.
