While the Thai government has gotten closer to creating a legal gambling landscape in recent years, or at least closer to codifying the activity for modern times, there are still no locally regulated online operators for people to play with. Legal opinions, internet blocking measures, and moral questions notwithstanding, many residents of Thailand simply take to the wilds of the global marketplace to gamble online.
That approach presents great opportunity and great risk to personal funds for the player who doesn’t quite know what they are up against. While hundreds and perhaps thousands of operators will take your action, not all can be trusted and not all of the casinos you can play at will meet your needs as a player deserving of the same respect and protections as someone in a highly regulated jurisdiction.
One way to safely try out new platforms and new games at online casinos that are licensed in other countries is to take advantage of no deposit bonus codes or NDB codes. If you can imagine a code that you enter to be granted a bonus comprised of cost-free casino funds or cost-free slot spins that can generate bonus funds, that’s what NDB codes are.
In a nutshell, you can visit an online operator, create a free account, and claim a no deposit bonus by using a code we provide, and they’ll either give you a predetermined amount of bonus funds or allow you to play a certain number of cost-free spins and the result of those spins will become bonus funds.
Of course, they can’t simply stand on a virtual corner dishing out free spins and casino cash - you’ll have to meet the terms and conditions of the offer before you can cash out your winnings, but in most cases, you won’t have to risk any funds to win and cash out once you’ve gone through the process of playing until you can withdraw.
One way to look at NDBs is as a sort of welcome gift from the operator (because they want your future business), but like almost everything else in life there will be strings attached. Those strings are the terms and conditions (T&C). The T&C are essentially just rules to play by and they include which games can be played, how many times you will need to put the initial bonus funds at risk (turn them over), and how much you will be able to cash out among other things.
We’ll walk you through all of the common terms associated with bonuses in general but more specifically those associated with NDBs. If you are already an experienced player and simply want to go grab a code and start playing for free with a chance to collect real money, please see our page for the Best Online Casinos for players from Thailand and get started at your leisure - otherwise, please read on to learn all you need to know about gambling with the casino’s money and cashing out without risking your own funds.
Not every effort will be successful - you will win some and lose some, but you won’t lose any money trying.
Of course, the Wizard of Odds offers far more than information on the best NDBs for players in Thailand and we encourage you to explore the site in its entirety if you are so inclined. We’ve been online since the 1990s and our current network of player-focused websites has reviewed thousands of casinos and offers hundreds of different bonuses on any given day.
Most NDBs are offered strictly for slots play but some do allow other games. That is usually mentioned in the “wagering requirements” section of our term synopsis which we’ll go into in a moment along with other elements of our no deposit bonus code listings. Please follow one of the following links if you are more interested in poker, baccarat, blackjack, or roulette, play.
If you mostly want to play slots, maybe some keno or a few scratch cards, and you want to know how to complete the offers successfully and cash out, we have those codes along with some useful tools to assist you in finding the right bonuses based on your personal wants, needs, and personal preferences.

Our NDB Codes database is your go-to tool to find precisely the type of bonus you seek. The tool is just as beneficial to users who are looking for the highest possible cashouts with the lowest wagering requirements as it is to the user who simply wants to have a little fun spinning the slots for a small payout or the one who has no idea quite what they want beyond free play with a chance to make real money.
We provide a default setting that will serve any player while providing tools for the more discerning player who may wish to create a self-curated page of custom offers.
It starts with winnowing the list…
Your secure web browser “tells” our site software your general location based on your IP address. You can check this for yourself by visiting a site like whatismyipaddress or other sites that reveal your IP address. We use this information to query our database to only provide No Deposit Bonus Codes for players in Thailand. This pre-filtering action in the background rejects codes and offers that are not useful to players in your area and creates a list of offers that are meaningful to you.
If you are visiting our site when using a VPN or other masking technology you can simply reset the filter using the “Country” dropdown menu and select Thailand.
This is the default configuration for players in your region. It will present a list of online casinos that not only accept players in Thailand but also include those that offer you a chance to play real money gambling games for profit without risking any funds of your own. Scanning the list of offers visually offers plenty of choices. However, more tools at your disposal can help you fine-tune the list based on several criteria that you can manipulate manually.
The system is configured to place the best offers at the top of the list to save you time and suggest the most beneficial offers overall. The choices we present are data-driven and informed by decades of knowledge and experience in the online casino industry. However, since we cannot read your mind or know your preferences, you are free to reorder and refilter the selections using the sorting and filtering tools at your disposal.
The offers are presented in boxes in a "card" format. Each one is populated with a variety of data to give you all the information you need to shop for the offers that are most attractive to you as a player.
In the box, you’ll see:
The casino
An Info icon - hover or select to see key terms
The No Deposit Bonus offer (usually spins or a set amount of funds)
The No Deposit Bonus Code. Click to copy in case you plan to claim the offer
Wagering requirements
Expiration date
The maximum amount you can withdraw
Thumbs up and thumbs down from other players
A way to share on social media
Comments (usually by by staff)
A Claim button (make sure you copied the code or write it down)
A link to the casino review
You don’t absolutely need to read any or all of the casino review but at a minimum, the top-line data presented on the review page can be invaluable. You will also be able to see our rating of the casino along with ratings from other trusted portals and an overall average of the ratings. If you have claimed the offer or if you are otherwise familiar with the operator you can also leave your own rating that will range from 1 to 5 stars.
Put No Deposit Bonus Codes to Work for You
None of the individual codes are worth more than a couple of hundred dollars. Most of them are going to pay less than that. You will probably get lucky and cash out from one or more of them, but it might be your fifth or even your tenth try rather than your first. Of course, your first attempt might result in success.
You will need to be prepared to invest a significant amount of time in learning the ropes and going through the actual process of meeting the T&C if you aren’t already an experienced hand at online gambling.
Are you prepared for that?
Properly managing expectations is everything when it comes to being a happy gambler.
On a brighter note, especially for slot players, any spin has the same chance of bringing down a jackpot as any other. Adding gambling funds to your bankroll and then playing with them as a straight and fresh deposit removes all bonus terms and conditions such as wagering requirements, game restrictions, and max cashouts.
Alternatively, using the funds to claim a juicy welcome bonus with no max cashout would give you extended playtime and a chance to cash in a jackpot too if you are willing to encumber the funds with new bonus T&Cs.
Any spin with those “free” gambling funds could change the trajectory of your lifetime gambling session from whatever it is today, to an upward loft. That boost might allow you to bet bigger and if you catch a lucky streak with bigger bets, your profits will be much larger.
Of course, gambling is about losing as much as it is about winning and you will probably continue to lose more individual sessions than you come out on top of, but that’s just the nature of the game with true randomness and volatile swings. The point, depending on how you want to look at it, is that winnings from NDBs are real money that can be spent however you wish to spend it, even if your choice is to gamble it again in pursuit of even bigger profits. Since you won’t be investing your own funds to earn no-deposit winnings, you might take different risks that could present you with different and much more desirable rewards.
Types of No Deposit Bonuses
Two primary types of NDBs have emerged over the years but there are a few others you might run across from time to time. The good news when it comes time to understand them all is that all NDBs eventually boil down to the same thing - funds that need to be put at risk a certain number of times before you can cash anything out.
We’ll take a closer look at bonus funds (sometimes called free chips) and casino spins (often known as free spins), and give passing mention to Tournament Freerolls and Free Playtime. Freeroll tournaments usually result in payouts for the top finishers and those payouts are most often in the form of bonus funds. Free playtime is usually just a creative way to generate a bonus fund and then that can be claimed with a deposit as a deposit bonus. However, an operator can allow the bonus winnings as a free chip so they are worth a brief mention.
Tournament Freerolls are usually found at online gaming sites powered by Wager Gaming while Free Playtime offers are usually found at Rival Powered casinos.
Casino Spins
Many of the codes listed will award new or even returning players a set number of slot spins on a predetermined machine with each spin having a fixed value. All there is to do is claim the offer and spin the reels until the spins are completed. This will create a balance of bonus funds that will vary in value each session. Once the first stage of the offer is done (completing the spins), the funds will be treated as if they were a free chip or other bonus funds award but the value will be unknown until you finish spinning.
That brings us to the core type of offer…
Bonus Funds (free chip)
When you claim this type of NDB your balance will be set to the amount of the offer - it could be $10, $20, $50, $70, or any other amount advertised. If you have taken casino spins and completed the first phase, or if you have won a bonus balance from a freeroll tournament or free playtime, the funds will most likely be treated just as if they were awarded as a “free chip”. All of them would now have the same bonus terms and conditions attached to them.
To cash out any eventual winnings you will have to meet all of the terms and conditions of the offer.
Terms and Conditions
The general terms and conditions of an online gambling house are usually quite lengthy and involved, covering things most players never need to concern themselves with as long as they don’t try to cheat or otherwise attempt to exploit the operator or its products. It’s often enough due diligence for a player to simply be aware of standard online T&C and to augment that knowledge by reading a review of the particular operation and if it is a seasoned enough gambling house, reading honest and unbiased player comments to determine if there is anything untoward, murky, or predatory in those terms. When a non-standard term or condition burns one gambler, other players will learn about it quickly by reading in-depth and unbiased reviews and the comments of other players.
Bonuses and promotions also have their own attendant T&C, but unlike the tomes of legalese found in General T&C, all of the bonus terms need to be read and understood.
Just like the General T&C, bonus terms are a “take it or leave it” contract. They are non-negotiable. Players either accept the terms or deny them by not participating.
Some of the important bonus terms and conditions to consider include:
Expiration date
Allowed games
Max bet per spin/hand/round
Wagering requirements (Playthrough aka Rollover)
Game weighting
Withdrawal thresholds/limit
KYC - Document verification
Expiry
All bonuses have a time limit - a date or time certain by which the terms must be completed and a withdrawal request tendered. The limit varies from house to house but will always be included somewhere in the T&C. It’s important to know whether you will be able to devote the time needed to complete them and convert bonus funds into cash winnings.
If the bonus expires you won’t be paid.
Allowed Games
All NDBs [as opposed to VIP comps or VIP perks which are another subject altogether] will restrict your play to certain games, usually slots and sometimes a certain range or group of slots.
If the offer starts with casino spins it’s easy to abide by the allowed games term since you likely only had one slot to play on. If you have bonus funds and the platform doesn’t restrict games or otherwise present only the games you can play, you’ll have to use your discretion and only choose the games that are allowed under the T&C.
Some offers may allow you to play games other than slots, but please be aware that most other games will not count the same as slots when it comes to the wagering requirement. Wagering and game weighting will be addressed below.
A single spin, hand, or round on a non-approved or restricted game will void the bonus and nullify any winnings.
Maximum Bet
This term limits the amount you can bet on any spin, hand, or game round and the upper limit includes any actions after the initial spin and before the next. Buying a bonus, even if the individual spins are under the maximum limit will be a violation. Risking all or part of the proceeds of a winning slot spin or staking the proceeds from a winning video poker hand in an all-or-nothing gambit will violate the term if the aggregate bets for the game round exceed the maximum bet limit.
Exceeding the max bet will lead to forfeiture of the bonus and any accumulated winnings.
Wagering requirements (Playthrough aka Rollover)
You will need to expose the intial bonus funds to the mathematical advantage the casino holds in all games a certain number of times. If the wagering requirement (WR) is 30x and the bonus amount is $100, you will need to make $3,000 (30 x $100) in bets to clear the bonus and release any winnings.
The WR is a risk-limiting term for the casino operator who has determined with statistical certainty that only some players will complete the bonus terms even if they do everything else right. This is where volatility, the house edge [or conversely the return to player percentages (RTP)], and good old-fashioned luck come into play.
A few players will get lucky enough to put the initial bonus amount at risk the prescribed number of times and end up with enough to cash out while most participants won’t. Everyone has the same chance but the deal is structured in such a way that only a certain percentage, on average, will succeed. In marketing terms, this can be seen as the cost per acquisition of new players.
The gambling house gives all offer participants a chance to win, but they have to structure it so that only a certain percentage succeed. Those who do complete wagering will only cash out a certain amount.
If you don’t complete wagering you won’t be able to withdraw.
Withdrawal thresholds/limit
Thresholds will be set for the minimum and maximum you will be able to cash out from the offer. Most often the minimum amount will be found in the General T&C and simply represents the lowest amount the operator is willing to process out, sometime the bonus terms will state the general amount or an amount specifically related to the offer. In rare cases, the lower and upper limits will be the same amount. For instance, the terms might state something like, “You may only cash out $100, no more and no less”.
If the bonus is “sticky” or non-cashable, you will need to meet the WR and have enough to leave the bonus funds (for instance a $50 free chip) with the operator and cash out your winnings, such as $100. This means you will need to have at least $150 in your account when wagering is completed in order to cash out the maximum amount of $100 if that is the stated withdrawal limit and if the bonus amount is $50.
Winnings from no deposit bonuses are limited.
Game Weighting
All casino games are crafted with the house having a certain percentage of advantage over the players. Games also have different levels of volatility or variance from the mean results over time. Games like blackjack have very low volatility and a very low house edge whereas slots tend to be all over the place with some returns very small and some very big - they also have a greater house edge over time or conversely, a lower return to player percentage (RTP) than more static card games. If the RTP is 96%, the house edge or house advantage is 4%.
While most or all allowed slots will count 100% toward the WR, blackjack or video poker will count much less such as 5% or 10%.
If blackjack is weighted at 5% only $0.05 of every dollar bet will go toward reducing the wagering requirement. The same goes for video poker. If it is weighted at 10%, only $0.10 of every dollar staked will be removed from the WR.
In context, a slots WR of $3,000 (30 x $100) would become 20x more than that when playing blackjack ($3,000/.05), or $60,000, and video poker play would result in a WR of $30,000 ($3,000/.10) or 10x the slots WR.
This brings us back to not only the expiration date and the max bet (a $5 max bet would require 12,000 hands of blackjack or 6,000 rounds of video poker) but also the amount of time and effort you might be willing to put into an offer that will end up paying $50 or $1100 or whatever the max cashout is if and when you complete the terms and convert the bonus funds into cash.
Most players simply stick to slots.
KYC - Document verification
No matter what type of bonus you use or even if you simply make a clean deposit, all licensed operators require proof of identity and other documents to be verified before they can release a payout. The process is known as KYC (know your customer) and is sometimes referred to as “document verification”.
You’ll need to send a copy of your driver’s license, passport or other government-issued identification document; proof of residence like a utility bill, and if the casino requires a verification deposit, proof that you own the financial instrument such as a debit or credit card you will use to deposit and withdraw to.
You must verify your identity and financial instruments or the casino is not allowed to pay you.
Conclusion
Online gamblers in Thailand and everywhere else should consider the pros and cons of using a no deposit bonus before jumping in with both feet. While you won’t need to risk your own funds for a chance to win real money you will invest time and effort and you’ll need to follow all of the rules closely.
NDBs are a good way for new players to learn all the ins and outs of online gambling without risking funds and a great way to test out new operators or those you’ve never played with.
Since the ultimate monetary value of most offers is relatively low, rarely exceeding $200, they are best approached as a sort of free form of entertainment with the chance to win a prize. You won’t get wealthy off these offers but they might generate enough “free money” to play with during a future gambling session funded with “found money” that could end up being very fruitful.
No matter whether you approach our no deposit bonus codes lightly or take the opportunity to sift and sort for the most lucrative offers, you will have the tools at your disposal you need to accomplish your goals.
The freshest player and the most seasoned one can find the bonuses that meet their needs - and - if expectations are managed properly (remember, you will not win them all) you will find countless hours of entertainment and the chance to bring home some cash at the end of any session!
