Lucky 5
Introduction
Lucky 5 is a lottery-based game found as a live-dealer game at some Internet casinos. The game is based on a draw of five out of 42 balls.
Rules
- Every five minutes a lovely dealer will appear to draw five balls out of 36 from a large hopper full of balls.
- The balls are grouped into four colors of nine numbers each. The colors are blue, red, green, and white.
- There are a host of bets the player may make on the ball draw. To avoid repeating myself, please see the full list in the analysis section.
Analysis
The following table shows all the available bets, what they pay, the number of winning combinations out of 376,992, the probability of winning, and the return to the player. All wins are on a "for one" basis, meaning this is the total amount a winning bet will get back. Many bets involved one or more colors. For example, at least 1.5 white balls will be drawn. To avoid repeating myself, I listed such bets once only and said "chosen color."

The table above shows returns ranging from a low of 0.45% to a high of 85.11%. The highest return is one the count of one color being greater than another, for example more red than blue balls, at a return of 85.11%. It is not a misprint that the lowest return is 0.45%. In other words, a house edge of 99.55%. That is on the bet where the player chooses five numbers and the five dealer numbers must match exactly. In my 19 years analyzing casino games, this is the worst bet I have ever seen. It beats a record recently set in the game Bet on Poker, by the same company.
More Screenshots
I think the lovely dealers are the main reason for playing this game. That said, here are some screenshots of more of them.
