Introduction
Hard All Day is a craps side bet that I believed debuted at the Paris casino in Las Vegas in July, 2025. It wins if the shooter rolls every hard way from 4 to 10 before rolling a 7. Wins pay 165 to 1.
Rules
In craps, a "hard way" is a total of 4 to 10 and the two dice match. Specifically, rolls of 2-2, 3-3, 4-4 and 5-5. The Hard All Day bet wins if each of these hard ways is rolled, in any order, before a total of 7 is rolled. Wins pay 165 to 1.
Analysis
The probability of winning is (4/10) × (3/9) × (2/8) × (1/7) = 1/210.
The expected return is 165×(1/210) - 1×(209/210) = -44/210 = -22/105 = -20.95%. In other words, a house edge of 20.95%.
