In Between
Introduction
In Between is a simple poker-based game I found at OneTouch, a provider of games for Internet Casinos. It could loosely be comapred to Red Dog, which, to make matters more confusing, is also sometimes called In Between. Unlike Red Dog, In Between has no skill element. The dealer deals three cards and if the middle one is in between the left and right cards, the player wins. There is another way to win based on an additional two-card hand. The full rules and analysis are below.
Rules
- A single 52-card deck is used.
- Card ranks are the same as poker, except aces are high only.
- The player places a bet on the "Main" bet. At this time, he may make the optional "Poker" side bet.
- The dealer shall deal five cards, three to a three-card hand and two to a two-card hand.
- The cards in the three card hand shall be placed in a row. If those three cards are all different in rank and the middle card is between the left and right cards, then the player shall have a win for an "In Between."
- The two-card hand forms a pair, then the player shall have a win for a "Pocket Pair."
- The Main bet shall pay as follows:
- In Between and Pocket Pair win — 4 to 1
- In Between win only — 2 to 1
- Pocket Pair win only — 1 to 1
- The Poker side bet shall pay based on the poker value of all five cards. Following is the pay table:
- Royal flush — 1000 to 1
- Straight flush — 700 to 1
- Four of a kind — 400 to 1
- Full house — 100 to 1
- Flush — 70 to 1
- Straight — 50 to 1
- Three of a kind — 5 to 1
- Two pair — 2 to 1
