Top Game Software

Introduction

Top Game has rebranded to Pragmatic Play

Founded in 2007, TopGame is an online gaming software developer that is licensed in Curacao. The company services both regulated and restricted countries, most prominently offering its games to casinos that service the United States. Unfortunately, many of the casinos offering these games are rogue operations that have a history of spamming and scamming players out of legitimate winnings. With that being said, there are a few decent casinos offering TopGame software and the games themselves do have some nice features.

Blackjack

Multi-hand Blackjack

There are two blackjack games to choose from — Royale Blackjack and Multihand Blackjack. The blackjack rules are not disclosed anywhere, but between playing myself and bothering support, I think they are the same for both games as follows:

  • Eight decks
  • Dealer stands on soft 17
  • Dealer peeks for blackjack
  • After after split allowed
  • Player may split once only
  • No surrender

Under these rules, I get a house edge of 0.50%.

The following table shows the return by number of picks. The greatest return is on the pick-13 at 94.90%.

Jacks or Better

Top Game has a rather weak video poker offering with four games only. All of them are single-play. The house edge ranges from 0.46% to 3.23%, so pick your game carefully (hint: Jacks or Better).

The following table shows the Video Poker games available in alphabetical order.

Here is the same list in returns range, choose your game wisely.

Double Exposure

Double Exposure

The double exposure rules are as follows:

  • Eight decks
  • Dealer hits soft 17
  • Blackjack tie is a push
  • Double down any two cards
  • Double after split allowed
  • Split once only
  • No splitting unlike tens

I have never analyzed the rule about not splitting unlike tens before, which you should sometimes do in double exposure. That said, my rough guess for the house edge under these rules is 0.40%.

Roulette

Swipe Roulette

Top Game has no fewer than five roulette games. Why they need so many, I have no idea. Maybe I shouldn't count two of them, because they are by invitation to high rollers only (big deal!).

All the games are single-zero, for a house edge of 2.70%. So, pick any you game wish to play, because it makes no difference.

Slot machines

beauty-salon.pngbee-land.pngducks-n-eggs.pnggrave-grabbers.pnglucky-fishing.pngred-white-blue.pngblack-diamond.pngbingo-slot.pngkings-n-queens.png

There are about 75 slots to choose from — a mixture of three-reel and five-reel games. A few are progressive. The slots seem nicely done and the same kind of look as you would find in a land casino.

I could not find any information on either theoretical or actual return of the slot machine games, so you are on your own with those.

Scratch Cards

Weed Whacker

There is just one scratch card game — Weed Whacker. No information is given on the return, so play at your own risk.

Conclusion

Although TopGame’s gaming software looks decent enough, players are urged to exercise extreme caution when selecting a casino that uses TopGame software due to the large amount of rogue casinos using the software. Many casinos offering TopGame software have complained of slow and non-payment of winnings, and due to many of these operators being based in Costa Rica, there is no regulating body to hold them responsible for their deceit. Because of this, it is important that players read reviews of TopGame powered casinos before registering and depositing funds.
