Reason #4 why the Wizard likes Bovada: One-Stop Shopping Bovada offers the triple crown of gambling: casino, poker, and sports. Many other casinos have tacked on poker as an afterthought, and many poker rooms have tacked on a casino as an afterthought, and the lack of attention shows, sometimes painfully. And very few of these sites let you make sports wagers. But Bovada doesn’t just offer all three, they do each one well, and everything’s integrated. It’s easy to play all three off one deposit, off just one account. Another nice thing about Bovada is that you don’t need a separate account to play casino games with fake money. In fact you do not even need an account for that at all, you can just click over there and play. Finally, Bovada usernames are only six or seven characters long making them possible to remember. By contrast some competitors’ usernames are extremely long and cumbersome. |
Double Super Times PayLast Update: Nov 10, 2010 IntroductionDouble Super Times Pay is a video poker variant I first saw at the Suncoast casino in Las Vegas on October 27, 2010. The game can be played like conventional video poker, in 3-play, 5-play, and 10-play modes. However, for an extra 2 coins bet per play, the player will have two chances to win a random multiplier. RulesAs stated above, for a 7-coin bet per play the player will have two chances to win a random multiplier. The first chance is after the deal, and the second is after the draw. The player still gets a chance at the draw multiplier, even if he holds all five cards. Both multiplier opportunities have a 1 in 15 chance. If a multiplier is won, the average multiplier is 4.01. It is possible to win two multipliers, in which case they are added together. There is an exception to the above rule for dealt royals. On a dealt royal, the probability of a multiplier on the deal is still 1 in 15, but if won, it is always 20, and there would be no opportunity for another multiplier on the draw. If the player does not win the 20x multiplier on the deal, then he gets a second chance at draw multiplier with a 1 in 15 chance, and average multiplier of 4.01. ExampleIn the image above, I won an 8x multipler, so my win of 5 for jacks or better paid 5×8=40 and the two pair paid 10×8=80. OddsGiven the conventional return of any pay table, it is easy to find the return with a full 7-coin bet per play. Just multiply the 5-coin return by 1.00509. Most video poker returns are close to 100%, so an easier memory device would be to add 0.5% to the 5-coin return.
StrategySame as conventional video poker. Pictures
