Excellent customer support

The thing that separates Bovada from the rest is its customer support. Many other online gaming companies outsource their support. It can be difficult getting a response from them, and if you do it is often slow and handled by somebody with little understanding of gambling or even of English. But Bovada’s support is handled by Bovada, and their support staff is actually knowledgeable and helpful.

Following are the expected returns for each initial hands in blackjack under the following rules.

  • 2 decks
  • Dealer stands on soft 17
  • Player may resplit to four hands, except aces
  • No drawing to split aces

There are two tables, the first for when the player has two cards of different ranks, the second when the player has two cards of the same rank. In the second table there are two columns for splitting, one in which the player may double after a split and the other in which the player may not.

The values in this table were created using a recursive combinatorial program that considered the exact hand composition at every step. For splitting values the program only considered how many hands the player had already split, but not the other cards drawn in those hands.

Expected return of game:

  • Player may double after split: -0.001779
  • Player may not double after split: -0.003208
