Availability of Specific Games Online

What software (purchased or downloaded) would you recommend for some one who wants to practice Blackjack & Craps on a computer (closest to a real game), but cannot go online to play (work computer)? – Michael from Clinton Township
For purposes of recreational playing, it seems that every store that sells computer software games have a few with various casino games, often in the bargain bin. I’ve tried some of them and find them all to be pretty bad. The Internet casinos do a much better job. Sorry, but I can’t recommend anything. January 13, 2008

Can you recommend a free baccarat game for the Mac?

My webmaster Michael Bluejay is a loyal Mac user and has a helpful page about Macintosh casino games. Sept. 26, 2003

I noticed that use posted odds for double down stud. Have you found this at any on-line casino's. I played it in Kansas City, but Biloxi doesn't have it and my wife loves that game. Thanks for any help you can give me. - Jason Norgaard from Montgomery, USA

No, I haven't seen it at any online casinos. The only place I have seen it is Atlantic City. The game seems to be going the way of the dodo bird.

Are there any internet casinos with looses dueces wild and which casino has the best payouts for dueces wild. Thank you. - Mike from Montana

Atlantic Interbet has full pay deuces wild (return of 100.77%). I think their highest coinage is 50 cents in that game. April 15, 2001

Where on the Internet can I play Spanish 21 for either fun or real money? - Reana Mattingly from Fairport, U.S.

All Unified Gaming casinos as well as Global Player offer Spanish 21. Unified Gaming stands on a soft 17 and thus has the lower house edge. Jan. 20, 2001

I'm looking for on-line slots that are nickels and dimes to play. ñ Travis from Los Angeles, USA

Cryptologic casinos have one-cent minimums on their slots. Real Time Gaming casinos have a five cent minimum. Most other places are 25 cents. Dec. 31, 2000

I just wanted to know if there is an online casino which has single-deck and in which the cards are not shuffled after every hand. ñ Hugo Cortest from Santiago, Chile

I don't think so, I have never seen any. Dec. 31, 2000

Ever wonder why Three Card Poker is not available online? ñ Bob Beck from Houston, Texas

It is still not as popular as Let it Ride and Caribbean Stud. I speculate when the software developers either don't understand it or don't think it is popular enough. However I get asked about Three Card Poker online all the time. The first online casino to offer the game is going to be very glad they did, I predict. Nov. 11, 2000

I SAW YOUR ARTICLE "EXPLORING MICROGAMING" WHICH YOU SAID IT OFFERS THE PAI GOW DOMINO GAME. I WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED IF YOU CAN TELL ME WHICH ONLINE CASINO OFFER THIS GAME. THANK YOU. ñ Allan Lam from San Gabriel, California

Three that I know have it are the Caribbean Gold, English Harbour, and Silver Dollar. Also, using all capital letters is rather obnoxious. Nov. 4, 2000

Who has the best slot machine pay back rate on the net? - Frank Zlotkowski, Steubenville, USA

As I work through the various kinds of software for reviews in Casino Player magainze I am paying more attention to games I normally don't play. At this point I can only report on three kinds of software as follows.

Microgaming: 95.67% (Based on actual returns at the Golden Palace while they used Microgaming software.)
Cryptologic: 92.42% (Based on actual returns at the Safari Casino. The Sands of the Caribbean and Inter Casino had similar returns.)
Real Time Gaming: 97.1% (Based on the theoretical return at Casino Merlin assuming maximum coins played. Other licensees may select from returns ranging from 95% to 98%.) Oct. 15, 2000

Is there an online gaming site with Macintosh support? -- John from Boston, Massachusetts

I don't know. If any Mac users out there can help then please send me an e-mail. I've been asked this several times. Sept. 26, 2000

Why don't you have any GamblingSoftware.com sites listed on your site? I think they have around 87 different casinos you should list. It may help if you are fair with your listings. - Joseph Edwards from Vancouver, BC, Canada

I didn't realize they had that many casinos. There are too many kinds of software for me to list all of them but if they do indeed have 87 they deserve to be mentioned on my site. Besides that they gave me a free tee-shirt at a trade show. Sept. 10, 2000

What online casinos have Three Card Poker to bet on? -- Stacy from the USA

None that I know of have Three Card Poker. Sept. 10, 2000

Q: I found (and played at) 2 casinos that offer free cash for creating a real account. There is no purchase required. The two I found were 7 Sultans ($10) and Geisha Lounge. Are there any others like this? - Jay Shertzer from Columbia, U.S.

A: I have seen several free money offers like these. Two that come to mind are the Colosseum Casino and the Grand Opry Casino. Both of these offer $20 for free. Personally I don't get too excited over these offers. It isn't worth the fuss of downloading the software and the hard disk space it takes up for only $20. However I have played at the two casinos I mentioned because they also had a deposit bonus in addition to the free money. Sept. 3, 2000

Q: What are some of the best online casinos to play blackjack on, with the following criteria in mind - Best player odds, fewest decks, fairness? - Robert from Hamilton, Canada.

A: Assuming you put the greatest priority on player odds I would have to go with a Unified Gaming casino. You'll enjoy a player edge of 0.57% assuming you following the proper strategy. I list of such casinos can be found here. Aug. 13, 2000

Q: Do any of the online casinos offer three card poker? ñ Bill from Birmingham, Alabama

A: I don't think so. I have never seen it myself. July 9, 2000

Q: What is the best site to play free online blackjack? - Heather from Alma

I never play for free but Boss Media casinos have a very nice game you can play for free. To name just one try the Riverboat Casino. July 2, 2000
