Reason #5 why the Wizard likes Bodog:
Intelligent Bonuses
Many online casinos offer huge signup bonuses, but there's a catch. Buried in the fine print is that play on the most popular games doesn't count towards earning the bonus. It's common for blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps, and Jacks or Better to be excluded. Sometimes everything except slots.
And that's if you can even find the terms and conditions. Many casinos put their 100% bonus in big flaming letters but make you hunt all over the site to find the rules.
But Bodog allows play on all games to count towards the wagering requirement. It's that simple. Just no opposite betting. All casinos ought to be as easy as Bodog about this. The bonus offer itself is simple too: on your first deposit, they'll give you an extra 10%. If you deposit $100, you'll wind up with $110 in chips or tokens.
Finally, in the unlikely event that Bodog feels you've been abusing their bonuses they won't seize your winnings, like some other casinos. In the worst case scenario they will politely tell you that they will not be offering you any future bonuses but you are welcome to keep playing and keep everything you have made already. Global Gaming
Expo
I am back from the Global Interactive Gaming Summit and
Expo in Montreal. A nice client of mine gave me first
class upgrades on United Airlines. Considering I was
flying first class I was rather disappointed. The food
seemed like the same quality you would expect in
coach. Compared to the first class service I got on
Delta from New York to Nice last year United was not even
close. There was also no first class lounge for me to
kill three hours while laying over in Chicago.
The hotel I stayed at was the Travelodge. Although
there was a screw up with the reservations I made through
hotels.com the location was great and the price averaging
$106 US was reasonable. The rooms are small and simple
but for one person you don't need much more.
This was the first major Internet gaming show I attended
in three years so it was fun seeing all the old faces
again. As usual I enjoyed the restaurants, casino, and
golf with other industry people including from Winner
Online, Casino Meister, and Got2Bet. Bryan Bailey of
Casino Meister has a nice write up about the trip on
his
newsletter. Bryan also posted
photos. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the
one of me. It was taken at a very loud party thrown by
the Gambling Federation and in the interests of not losing
my hearing I covered my ears.
The big event of the week was winning a 5-day Caribbean
Cruise from Casino
Pays in a drawing. I haven't actually
received it yet but look forward to getting some tickets in
my hand. My next vacation is a family trip to the
big island of Hawaii in July.

I'll
be honest: My site doesn't have the incredible level of
detail on the games that the Wizard offers. But I do offer
some useful and unique content, such as:
- A list of super-cheap Vegas hotels
- A rundown of all the roller coasters and thrill rides
in Vegas
- A Crash Course in Gambling
- My Half-Bankroll betting system
- A guide to Cheap Airfares
And unlike most other gambling sites, there are NO popup
windows, no blinking banners, and barely any advertising,
period. Everything's free so I hope you'll check it out!
