Chuck a luck is simple dice game that seems close to suffering the fate of the dodo bird. In Las Vegas it can be found in the New York New York and the Pairs. At the Genting Casino in Malaysia it can be found under the name "Mini Dice." If you have the desire to bet on the outcome of three dice, sic bo is easier to find, especially in the Asian gambling rooms of Atlantic City.

The chuck a luck table consists of a shaker, inside of which are three dice, and a table with various betting options. Like the big six wheel the players stand up to play. The table placement suggest it is meant to entice people to make a spur of the moment bet or two as opposed to playing for an extended period of time.

All bets are based on the outcome of the three dice. The player may bet on a single number or any one three proposition bets. If the player bets on a single number, five for example, the bet pays 1 to 1 if one five if rolled, 2 to 1 on two fives, and 3 to 1 on three fives. The following table shows the probability of each outcome on the any number and the contribution to the total return.

Some online casinos pay 10 to 1 on three matches. In this case the house edge would be 4.63%. In general if one match pays x, two matches pays y, and three matches pays z then the house edge is (125-75x-15y-z)/216.

The field bet pays even money if the total is 3 to 7 or 13 to 18. The other two proposition bets are under 10 and over 11. Following is a table showing the house edge on all bets available.
