NO PAIR RULE:
    The second and the third high card will be placed in the Low Hand; the highest and all remaining cards will be played in the High Hand.

ONE PAIR RULE:

    Use the highest two single cards in the Low Hand; place the pair and all remaining cards in the High Hand.
TWO PAIR RULE:
    Always use this formula for pairs:
      2,3,4,5 = Low Pair
      6,7,8,9 = Medium Pair
      10,J,Q,K = High Pair
      Aces = Aces
  1. Always split aces with any other pair. No exceptions.
  2. Low-Low or Low-Medium split. Exception: If an Ace or King can play in the Low Hand.
  3. Medium-Medium or Low-High split. Exception: If an Ace with a Face can play in the Low Hand.
  4. Medium-High or High-High always split. No exceptions.

THREE PAIR RULE:

    Always play the highest pair in the Low Hand.

THREE OF A KIND RULE:

  1. Always play the three of a kind in the High Hand and play the next two highest cards in the Low Hand. (Exception: If the three of a kind are Aces, play a pair of Aces in the High Hand and an Ace and the next highest card in the Low Hand.)

  2. Two three-of-a-kind will break the higher of three-of-a-kind and use the high pair for the Low Hand, and the lowest three-of-a-kind for the High Hand.

STRAIGHT RULE:

    Six and seven card straights always play the highest two cards possible for the Low Hand while still playing a straight in the High Hand. (Exception: If two pair are with the straight, apply two pair rule.) A straight with a flush at the same time always plays the highest hand up front for the Low Hand.

FLUSH RULE:

    Six and seven card flushes play the highest two cards possible in the Low Hand. (Exception: If two pair are with the flush, the two pair rule will apply.)

FULL HOUSE RULE:

    Play the pair in the Low Hand and the three of a kind in the High Hand. Full House with another pair - play the highest pair in the Low Hand, and the Full House in the High Hand.

FOUR-OF-A-KIND RULE:

    Apply the Two Pair rule. (Exception: If one pair or three-of-a-kind are with the four- of-a-kind, always play the highest pair in the Low Hand.)

FIVE ACE RULE:

    Always play a pair of Aces in the Low Hand.
