Reason #4 why the Wizard likes Bovada:

One-Stop Shopping

Bovada offers the triple crown of gambling: casino, poker, and sports. Many other casinos have tacked on poker as an afterthought, and many poker rooms have tacked on a casino as an afterthought, and the lack of attention shows, sometimes painfully. And very few of these sites let you make sports wagers.

But Bovada doesn’t just offer all three, they do each one well, and everything’s integrated. It’s easy to play all three off one deposit, off just one account.

Another nice thing about Bovada is that you don’t need a separate account to play casino games with fake money. In fact you do not even need an account for that at all, you can just click over there and play. Finally, Bovada usernames are only six or seven characters long making them possible to remember. By contrast some competitors’ usernames are extremely long and cumbersome.

Roller Coaster Dice

Last Update: Dec 15, 2005

Introduction

Roller Coaster Dice is a game found at Internet casinos using Playtech software. The game can be found under the Arcade Games menu.

Rules

The player rolls two dice and then picks whether the next throw will be higher or lower. If a roll is six or less the choices will be (1) the last number or less, and (2) more than the last number. If a roll is seven the choice will be (1) seven or less, and (2) seven or more. If a roll is eight or more the choices will be (1) the last number or more, and (2) less than the last number.

If the player ever makes an incorrect guess he immediately loses.

If the player makes it to 4 correct picks he may either collect 4 times his bet and stop, or keep playing.

If the player makes it to 6 correct picks he may either collect 7 times his bet and stop, or keep playing.

If the player makes it to 8 correct picks he may either collect 13 times his bet and stop, or keep playing.

If the player makes it to 10 correct picks he will collect 30 times and the game will be over.

Analysis

Unlike Around the World when the player reaches a stopping point he does not go forward with a random draw but keeps the last total thrown.

On the first stopping point, after 4 correct picks, the player should stop if the last throw was a 5 to 9, otherwise keep playing.

On the second stopping point, after 6 correct picks, the player should stop if the last throw was a 6 to 8, otherwise keep playing.

On the third stopping point, after 8 correct picks, the player should stop if the last throw was a 6 to 8, otherwise keep playing.

In the screenshot above I had a 10 at the first stopping point so I kept playing. At the second stopping point I had a 7 and chose to stop, collecing a win of 7 times my bet.
