Pop Up 25

Introduction

Pop Up 25 is a bingo game I noticed at the Red Rock casino on December 6, 2011.

Rules

  1. The game board consists of the number 1 to 25 in a 5 by 5 matrix.
  2. The player chooses 2 to 5 numbers.
  3. The game randomly chooses 5 numbers.
  4. The player is paid according to how many of his picks match the numbers drawn by the game.

The Red Rock game was multi-denomination. As usual with electronic games, the more you bet, the better the odds. In this case there were four different pay tables, associated with the denomination bet as follows:

  • Pay Table 1 — 1¢, 2¢
  • Pay Table 2 — 5¢, 10¢
  • Pay Table 3 — 25¢
  • Pay Table 4 — 50¢, $1

Probabilities

The following table shows the probability of catching any given number of balls according to the number picked.
