Lasseters blackjack strategy
Last update: August 6, 2004
Following are the blackjack
rules at Lasseter's
Internet Casino.
- Each card is dealt from
a unique deck
- Dealer stands on soft
17
- Player can double on any
first two cards
- Player can double after
a split
- Player may split to 3
hands
- Dealer does not peek for blackjack. Player will lose total amount bet if dealer gets a blackjack (European no-peek rule).
The first rule means that
each card played is dealt from a unique 52-card deck. In
other words every card dealt has exactly a 1 in 13 chance
for each rank. There is no effect of card removal.
Mathematically this is equivalent to an infinite number of
decks of cards.
Following is the correct
basic strategy under these rules.
Note that the player should
hit a soft 13 against a 5 and hit a soft 15 against a
4.
The house edge under these rules is 0.63%.
